Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- Booking in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 543 By The Sea-KING-OCEAN VIEW-Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you crave, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
During your stay:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to propel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
