Hotel Rooms, One- and two-bedroom suites and villas are ideal for family stays at this resort, where colorful pastel buildings, nautical villa décor and a wrap-around porch at the clubhouse exude a beachy, low-country appeal.
The Space:
There’s plenty to do at Harbour Lights without even venturing to the close by Grandiose Strand–the local term for the 60+ miles of beach that stretch from Myrtle Beach nearly to Charleston. Appreciate a invigorating dip in the infinity-edge pool, and grab a refreshment at the poolside snack bar afterwards, or appreciate a relaxing hot tub soak. There are even mushroom fountains and a kiddie pool just for the kids to savor! The resort also has an activities program for kids that will help keep them entertained, too.

Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best value:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Start by having your group select dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Harbour Lights Resort
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or applied to your contract.
Additional considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
