How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the best rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a max budget.
- 2-Bedroom Suite has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your trip.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
