How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding your best deal:
- Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Family Fun- Beach Vacation- Great Location - 1 block to beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
