Our top Vacation rental tips:
How to get the best rental value:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Seaside Splendor on the 6th Floor: 3 Bedroom Condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If not, call the host before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is best for your group.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you crave, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of problems.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a fantastic time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
