  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the largest rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses.   • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
