Our top Rental home booking tips:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your family choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Sunny Getaway * 1BR condo close to the beach (C) has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Additional considerations:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
