Strategies to get the best rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by having your family commit to a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Horizons at 77th - 1 Bedroom has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few problems.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
