Our top Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Imagine (2) your vacation at this beautiful condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your family.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
