Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best vacation home:
- Select a group leader, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Imagine (2) your vacation at this beautiful condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
