Tips to get the very best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking a perfectrental home:
- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Imagine (2) your vacation at this beautiful condo has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
