Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home:
- First and foremost, have your family commit to a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. In Myrtle Beach Resort Direct Oceanfront 506B Sweeping Ocean Views From Balcony has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
