Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Begin by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. In Myrtle Beach Resort Direct Oceanfront 506B Sweeping Ocean Views From Balcony has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.

- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations:
- Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
