How to find the best rental home experience:
Finding your best deal:
- To find the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- First and foremost, have your group decide on a vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 7th Floor, Studio, Magnificent Ocean Front, Bayview Resort, Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is best for your group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or may be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
