Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain deals for nearby tours and attractions.
How to choose and book the perfectvacation home:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Welcome to your dream getaway at this stunning Myrtle Beach condo! \n\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you book the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great time? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
