Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking yourrental:
- To start, have your group agree to the best dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Joyful Ocean View Condo located in the Heart of Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
