Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Joyful Ocean View Condo located in the Heart of Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
