Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectvacation home:
- First, have your family agree to the best dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Myrtle Beach Resort - Sea, Sun & Sandcastles - Direct Oceanfront, 3rd Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
