Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. July 4th Week - Ocean Front 1 Bedroom Deluxe Westgate Myrtle Beach Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

More considerations:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
