Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the owner's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review.
