How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Largest Indoor Water Park - Direct Oceanfront One-Bedroom - Great Views has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
