Tips for getting the perfect rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Largest Indoor Water Park- Three-Bedroom Penthouse Condo-Beautiful Sunset Views has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
