Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- To book the best rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Largest Indoor Water Park- Three-Bedroom Penthouse Condo-Beautiful Sunset Views has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Call the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
