Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the best rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:

  • To start, have your family choose vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. On sale! One week left July 20-27, 2024! Sleeps 8, near area attractions! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
