How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To book the best rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick the perfectvacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Life's a Beach at a Place at the Beach V has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Additional considerations:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
