Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Ocean Dunes Villas #17, short walk to the beach has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

Advice for a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
