Myrtle Beach rental home tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Lively Views from the balcony at Ocean Forest Plaza has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your group.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
