About this Property

  • Sleeps 8
  • 4 Bedrooms
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1650 square feet

If you're like me, it's not really a beach vacation unless I can see and hear the ocean. For such a person, this is the ideal property. Appreciate gorgeous 180 degree vistas of the ocean from the upper and lower decks, feel the ocean breeze, and listen to the waves hit the shore at high tide. All with the privacy a home on stilts provides, especially on the 2nd floor deck.

This home has elegant high grade laminate floor on the first floor, granite counter tops, new luxury vinyl floor on the second floor, new beds, refreshed decor, and a fresh coat of paint throughout. The living room is furnished with leather furnishings and a 46 inch HD TV, vcr/dvd combo, and dvr. There is also a 42 inch TV in the master along with a dvd player and additional dvr. Smaller HD LCD TVs are located in the other 3 bedrooms , all connected to Direct TV's whole home genie system. In addition, multiple premium movie channels are available for rainy days or late nights. However, the beach is about appreciating the sun and the ocean. To help get everybody out into the fresh air there are two huge decks that cover the front of the home. The first floor deck is enormous and partially covered with a gate to keep little ones from accessing the stairs. The second story deck is completely covered and located off of the master bedroom, it offers the privacy that being higher off the ground brings. The vistas from either deck are spectacular and even allow you to keep an eye on the little ones as they make their way to and from the beach which is only a couple of hundred feet away (less than a min. walk)

This home also includes all the amenities you'd expect to find in your own home including a full size washer and dryer, and for those who hate doing laundry, Ocean Lakes offers a full service laundry for a minimal fee (my wife loves it). The kitchen includes all necessary silverware plus coffee maker, microwave, and dishwasher. There are three bathrooms, two of which include shower massage units for calming after a full day of fun in the sun. The outdoor shower makes for fast clean ups after playing in the sand.

This property is ideally located in the center of the campground in simple walking distance to all the amenities Ocean Lakes offers. Few places can equal the multitude of activities available along the Grandiose Strand or within close driving distance, but for those who simply want to hang out at the beach, Ocean Lakes is a self contained community offering everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation without ever leaving the property.

This is a NON SMOKING home......(Smoking is allowed outside on the deck ONLY..... Your understanding is appreciated.

The departure cleaning fee is $250 ......It is included in the Vrbo price.

Ocean Lakes does charge an entrance fee to enter the park. It will be $12 to $15 per nighttime per car deepening on when you purchase them . You will take care of this before you arrive.

Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose your Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges applied to your invoice.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
