Strategies to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and choose the perfectvacation home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Lodge Villa 2 Bedroom at a 57-Acre Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
