Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, change your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and choosing the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. New Arrowhead 101 in Kingston w\/ Pool & beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
