How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting and booking your prefectvacation home:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. New Arrowhead 101 in Kingston w\/ Pool & beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. - Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.

- Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
