Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding your perfect vacation home:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing and booking your prefect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Lovely 1BR condo in Myrtlewood has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If not, contact the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
