How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Getting the best value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book yourrental home:
- To start, have your group agree to the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Royale Palms 2BR Oceanview 14th Floor WITH POOL PASSES! Reduced rates for Fall! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
