How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal SC. To get the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Start by having your group decide on trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Premier Myrtle Beach House-great location to beach, golf, restaurants & shopping has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.

  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • During check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
