Our top Rental home booking tips:
Find your best deal:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the largest rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Ocean Lakes, gorgeous 3 bedroom, quiet cul de sac site 6013, JUNE 7-14 available has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
