Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Finding the best rental value:
- Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have discounts for local shops and restaurants.
How to select the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Escape to Paradise: Stunning Ocean Views in B325 at the Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or might be applied to your contract.
More tips for your visit:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your stay, note any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
