Our top Rental home tips:

When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:

  • Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. B325 at the Myrtle Beach Resort: Escape to Paradise: Stunning Ocean Views has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
