Vacation rental tips and tricks:
Money saving strategies:
- Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Ocean Front Seaside Serenity! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If not, contact the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
- Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
