Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- To get the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Make a plan and pick the rightrental:
- First, have your group choose a vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Winter Deals! Picturesque Oceanfront Suite Dogs OK has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
