How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a group leader, select your dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. High-End Oceanfront Suite! Dogs OK! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If not, contact the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
