Tricks and tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your family commit to trip dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Meridian Plaza 804 - Oceanfront! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
