Tips to get the very best rental experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Planning and choosing the perfectrental home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Great View of the Pool area! 2Br\/2Ba condo spacious and fully equipped. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
