How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Tranquil Retreat 3rd Floor: King Suite by the Sea has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
