Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • To find the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking your prefectrental:

  • Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Executive King Suite at Resort + Official On-Site Rental Privileges has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
