Tips to get the very best rental home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and choosing a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. A349 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Fantastic Condo with Awesome Amenities has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the host before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
