Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. A349 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Fantastic Condo with Awesome Amenities has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More considerations:

  • Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • During arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
