Tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest rental for your budget, we recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Filter your search:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. B327 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Cozy Coastal Escape has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
