Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Start by having your family agree to vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Located in the Heart of Myrtle Beach, close to the Beach, Museum's, with access to all amenities has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
