How to find the best vacation property experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To find the best rental within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. B527 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Charming Condo w\/ Full Kitchen & Indoor pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is best for your group.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
During your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
