Booking the best vacation property experience:
Sticking to your spending budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- Select your vacation week and spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. NEW Remodeled Ocean-front condo in Myrtle Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
