Our top Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:
How to get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best value, try shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your group agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach Resort, Ocean View, 2 BR - 2 BA, Indoor\/Outdoor Pool, B-244 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
