Rental booking tips:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have deals for local tours and attractions.
Filter your search:
- First and foremost, have your group agree to dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Myrtlewood golf condo- end unit, spacious, balcony w\/ pool view, 7 min to beach! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
Have a great stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
