Our top Rental property booking tips:
Finding your best deal:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. New, Beautiful Decor, Meridian Plaza, Pools, Nice! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. message the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
