Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation home experience:
Find your best deal:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Start by having your group choose the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Sea Mark Tower Unit 905 - Ocean View has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
