Myrtle Beach vacation rental tips:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Filter your search:
- Start by having your family select date ranges and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. HS-0707 - Direct Oceanfront - 7th Floor has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Have a fantastic stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
