Our top Rental property booking tips:
Finding your best deal:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect rental:
- Start by having your group commit to the best dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. New Direct Oceanfront,Heated Indoor Pool,Remodeled has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
