Tricks and tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. To get the largest rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some hosts offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
