Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Select dates and max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. New to Rental & Pet Friendly! Condo in Cumberland Terrace at Kingston-3 Minute Drive to the Beach! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your group.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
