How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, shift your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, selecting, and booking yourvacation home:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Newly Added Palace Resort, Clean, Pools,Low Floor! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
